Prismacolor Markers- Worth the Money?

Are Prismacolor markers actually worth the money it costs to get them? Find out in this packed review.

This month I purchased the Prismacolor 24 marker set with a case. This costed me $80.00. In this post find out if that insane amount of money is actually worth it.

Blending Test

For this I simply used two or more colors and tried to make them blend on a clean sheet of paper. The results? These markers blend, but not very well. The first time I tried using them, it felt like there was no ink in them at all. This gave me the impression that these markers wouldn't last very long.

Color Variety

To me, having good skin tones in a set is very important to me, and unfortunately, this set didn't offer any good ones. I would say to keep that in mind when buying art markers if you like to draw people- make sure that the set has a good skin tone!!

My Overall Thoughts

Overall I quite liked using these markers. They had a smooth brush tip and a helpful bullet nib for details. I would recommend these markers to proffessionals rather than beginners, because they are kinda hard to work with if you don't already have some experience with alcohol-based markers, and I would consider them nearly as good as COPICs if they added a few more skin tones and maybe some grays, too.
